IT Category Management Specialist

Jennifer Kuk is the IT Category Management Specialist in the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, Office of Management and Budget.  In this role, Ms. Kuk supports the government-wide IT Category Management activities for the nearly $50 billion in IT spending, including subcategories such as hardware, software, telecommunications, and related goods and services with the goals of improving coordination across federal agencies, streamlining the IT acquisition process, and achieving significant efficiencies and cost savings.  Ms. Kuk also supports the implementation of the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform (FITARA), which gives agency Chief Information Officers (CIOs) more authority over the budget, governance, and personnel processes for agency IT investments and provide areas of opportunity for greater collaboration and reduction of duplication.

Ms. Kuk received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles and Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
